<span lang="EN-US">The tar content in producer gas may cause crusting on the engine if it is utilized as a fuel gas, thus needs to be removed. This study aims determine liquid phase mass transfer coefficient process of removing from packed-bed contactor column. carried out continuously using used-cooking oil absorbent. was by contacting product cacao pod-husk gasification at temperature range 491-940<sup>o</sup>C certain counter-current flow rate with column Raschig ring packing bed. The used materials specific surface areas 29.3927 m<sup>2</sup>/m<sup>3</sup>, 49.7532 95.4113 96.8182 101.6840 and 105.0128 linear velocity ranging 0.0229 m/s 0.0827 m/s.
