<span lang="EN-US">The tar content in producer gas may cause crusting on the engine if it is utilized as a fuel gas, thus needs to be removed. This study aims determine liquid phase mass transfer coefficient process of removing from packed-bed contactor column. carried out continuously using used-cooking oil absorbent. was by contacting product cacao pod-husk gasification at temperature range 491-940<sup>o</sup>C certain counter-current flow rate with column Raschig ring packing bed. The used materials specific surface areas 29.3927 m<sup>2</sup>/m<sup>3</sup>, 49.7532 95.4113 96.8182 101.6840 and 105.0128 linear velocity ranging 0.0229 m/s 0.0827 m/s. A mathematical model has been constructed based research results. applies ranges (As.dt), (D<sub>L</sub>/dt.v<sub>L</sub>), (µ<sub>L</sub> / ρ<sub>L</sub>.v<sub>L</sub>.dt) 2.2397 8.0020, 2.26.10-10 1.72.10-9, 0.0331 0.3102, respectively, an average error 9.33%. removed 87%</span>
